A Better Posture
Your posture matters, it tells about your physical development since birth and reflects your habits of how you use your body and relate to the environment, in the present. Your posture is the way you move through life and encounter the world, how you organize yourself to move. It profoundly affects your comfort, ease of movement, health, emotions and life experience. While each of us has fantastic skeletons and musculature designed to give us flexible support and keep us upright against the pressure of gravity, we often develop postural habits that challenge the effectiveness of our skeletal structure and cause some concerns.
As your posture improves, you may feel like you are accessing new parts of yourself or parts that have long been forgotten. A Better Posture workshop is an opportunity to dissolve old self-limiting postural habits and replace them with a more effective and less stressful organization; a better posture. Healthy posture is when your skeleton is organized to carry your weight in a comfortable and balanced way without straining your muscles. It is a feeling of being fundamentally supported when standing upright and able to move with ease. Healthy posture is stable yet flexible and helps promote an overall sense of well-being.
Healthy spinal movements are essential for every movement we make, as well as our posture and organization. Finding the forgotten mobility in our trunk is the first step towards developing a more flexible, aligned spine that fully exercises its support purpose.
