Daily Movements to Prevent Stress
Excessive effort and habitual tension are exhausting and can lead to burnout, leaving us feeling tired and unresponsive. Long periods of stress can bring some symptoms, such as: headaches, body aches and muscle tension, insomnia, bruxism, nervous behaviors such as nail biting and also, becoming easily agitated, frustrated and upset, having difficulty relaxing, forgetfulness and disorganization, poor concentration, to name a few.
Stress is a natural and universal response to difficult situations. It’s how you respond to stress that makes the difference between feeling good and freaking out.
In the Daily Movements to Prevent Stress workshop, gentle guided movement sequences will help participants calm the nervous system, relax the mind, and direct attention to areas that are in a “holding pattern” with excess muscle tension.
These will be the first steps towards rebalancing the system. Learning how to reach this state in daily activities becomes a key that will allow participants to access a healthier and calmer internal state.
