Regaining Focus
Inspired by Johann Hari’s book, Stolen Focus: Why You Can’t Pay Attention and How to Think Deeply Again, this workshop encourages participants to become aware of areas of the body that are often neglected. This promotes a deeper connection between mind and body.
During Regaining Focus workshop, we will emphasize the practice of movements that improve motor learning and performance. We will focus on the development of movements rather than the movements themselves.
Through the smooth and effortless execution of simple movement sequences, we will feel subtle movements and optimize movement patterns to reduce pain and promote overall well-being.
Our goal is to create an environment that activates the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for calm and rest responses. When the body feels safe and is able to relax, it becomes easier to focus.
